# Digital Product Passport
> What consumers see when they scan your QR code — the public-facing passport page.
# The Digital Product Passport (Consumer View)
The **Digital Product Passport (DPP)** is the public-facing page consumers, retailers, and regulators see when they scan your product's QR code. It lives at `verify.passr.eu/01/{your-GTIN}` and is designed to be clean, trustworthy, and easy to read on any device.

## 1. What the Passport Shows
The DPP is organised into clear sections that consumers can scroll through:
### Product Identity
* Product name and brand logo
* Style category (e.g. Outerwear, Activewear)
* Consumer-facing product description
### Material Composition
A visual breakdown of every fabric in the garment, displayed as:
* A proportional **bar or donut chart** showing material percentages
* Clear labels (e.g. "80% Recycled Polyester · 20% Elastane")
* A **Recycled Content badge** if any material is certified recycled (GRS)
### Chemical Safety
* PFAS status declaration (**PFAS-Free** / **Contains PFAS** / **Not Applicable**)
* Downloadable lab report link (if a fluorine test certificate has been uploaded)
### Certifications
Each attached certificate is shown as a trust badge with:
* Standard logo (GOTS, GRS, OEKO-TEX, bluesign, RDS)
* Certificate number
* Expiry date
* Direct link to the certifying body's verification portal (where available)
### Supply Chain Map
An interactive world map showing:
* Each production facility as a geographic pin
* The sequential production route connecting facilities
* Clicking a pin reveals the facility name, city, country, and node type (e.g. "Assembly — Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam")
### Care & End-of-Life
* Washing, drying, and material care instructions
* End-of-life guidance (recyclability, repair options, take-back programmes)

## 2. Accessing the Passport
There are three ways consumers can reach a product's passport:
| Method | How |
| :--------------- | :-------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **QR Code scan** | Scan the printed QR code on the garment label or packaging |
| **NFC tap** | Tap an NFC tag embedded in the label with any modern smartphone |
| **Direct URL** | Visit `https://verify.passr.eu/01/{GTIN}` directly in a browser |
The passport is a **mobile-first** web page — no app download required.

## 3. What Consumers Cannot See
The public passport does **not** expose:
* Internal notes or team comments
* Supplier contact details or commercial terms
* Draft or incomplete compliance data (only Published products have live passports)
* Disassembly and recycler data (this requires the [Recycler Portal](/docs/recycler-portal) password)
* Pricing or commercial information of any kind

## 4. Passport Branding
The passport page uses your **brand logo** and **brand name** set in your workspace settings. The design is clean and consistent across all brands on Passr — focused on trust and readability rather than sales.
On **Growth** and **Scale** plans, you can request a **custom QR domain** so your passports live at your own subdomain (e.g. `passport.yourbrand.com`) instead of `verify.passr.eu`.

## 5. Keeping Your Passport Accurate
The passport reflects your Compliance Locker in real time. If you update material data, upload a new certificate, or add a supply chain node, the public passport updates immediately — no re-publishing needed.
If a certificate expires and you haven't renewed it, Passr will display an **"Expired"** warning badge on that certification in the public passport. Keep your certifications up to date to maintain consumer trust.
