# Qr generator

# QR Code Factory & GS1 Digital Links

To make digital product passports accessible, garments must carry a physical link (QR code or NFC tag) that consumers can scan. Passr implements the international GS1 Digital Link standard to link physical barcodes to web pages.

## 1. Understanding GS1 Digital Links

Traditional barcodes (UPC/EAN) are separate from website URLs. GS1 Digital Link combines both into a single QR code:

* **The URL Format**: `verify.passr.eu/01/{GTIN}`
* **How it Works**: A consumer's smartphone scans the QR code and opens the public passport web page. If scanned by a retailer’s point-of-sale scanner, the same QR code reads the GTIN barcode directly, making packaging cleaner by removing the need for double barcodes.

## 2. Exporting Print Assets

Navigate to the **QR Generator** dashboard page to export vector or raster assets for printing:

### Recommended Export Formats

* **SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics)**: *Highly Recommended for print.* Can be scaled infinitely without pixelation. Ideal for textile printing, cardboard hangtags, and screen printing.
* **PNG**: High-resolution raster images, best for web embeds or low-resolution label printing.

### Standard Tag Sizes

Passr offers presets optimized for garment manufacturing:

* **Hangtag (25mm x 25mm)**: Compact QR code suitable for paper swing tags.
* **Care Label (40mm x 40mm)**: Standard size for polyester/satin care instruction labels sewn into seams.
* **Box Packaging (60mm x 60mm)**: Large format for carton boxes or polybags.
