Compliance Locker & Disclosures

The Compliance Locker is where you store all the regulatory data for a specific product. Everything entered here is reviewed by you and then published on the consumer-facing Digital Product Passport page. Access the Compliance Locker by clicking any product and switching to the Compliance tab.

1. Material Composition

EU ESPR and French AGEC both require brands to disclose the exact material breakdown of their garments.

Adding Materials

Click Add Material and fill in:
Recycled content percentages are highlighted as a trust badge on the public passport — it’s one of the first things consumers look for. Be precise.

Material Composition Rules

  • All percentages must add up to exactly 100%. Passr will warn you if the total is off.
  • You can add as many materials as needed (e.g. shell fabric, lining, trim, hardware)
  • “Recycled” must be verified — if you upload a GRS certificate, the recycled claim is automatically marked as certified

2. Chemical Safety & PFAS Disclosures

Outdoor apparel is subject to strict chemical restrictions. Passr helps you make accurate, documented declarations.

PFAS Declaration

Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) are chemicals commonly used in Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coatings on outdoor garments. EU regulations are increasingly restricting their use. Select one of the following statuses for each product:

Lab Report Uploads

To substantiate a PFAS-Free claim, upload a certified laboratory test report:
  1. Click Upload Lab Report under the PFAS section
  2. Select your PDF or image file (max 20 MB)
  3. Add the testing laboratory name, test standard (e.g. EN 17681), and test date
  4. Click Save
The uploaded report is linked to the product and shown as a downloadable document on the public passport.

3. Certifications

Attach third-party certifications directly to your products. Certificates are displayed as trust badges on the public passport page.

Adding a Certificate

  1. Click Add Certification
  2. Select the standard from the dropdown (or choose “Custom”)
  3. Enter the certificate number, issuing body, and expiry date
  4. Upload the certificate PDF
Expiry Monitoring: Passr automatically monitors certificate expiry dates. You will receive an email alert 30 days and 7 days before a certificate expires. Update the certificate in the Compliance Locker to keep your passport accurate.

4. Compliance Status at a Glance

The top of the Compliance tab shows a colour-coded status summary: Aim for all green before publishing to ensure your passport meets the minimum ESPR and AGEC disclosure thresholds.
