Product Catalog Management

The Product Catalog is the central hub for all your apparel styles. Every Digital Product Passport starts with a product entry — once created, you fill in compliance data, generate QR codes, and publish the passport to the public.

1. Adding Products

Manual Creation

Navigate to Products in the sidebar
Click Add Product in the top-right corner
Fill in the product details:

Field	Required	Description
Product Name	Yes	Commercial style name (e.g. “Summit Shell Jacket”)
SKU	Yes	Your internal stock-keeping unit code
GTIN	Yes (for publishing)	GS1 barcode — EAN-13, GTIN-14, or UPC-12
Category	Yes	Outerwear, Activewear, Footwear, Accessories, Base Layer, etc.
Description	Recommended	Consumer-facing product summary, shown on the public passport

GTIN Requirements: All GTINs must be valid GS1-compliant codes. These form the basis of the GS1 Digital Link standard — the URL format for your QR codes. Contact GS1 to obtain GTINs if you don’t have them yet.

Bulk CSV Import

For large catalogs, navigate to Import Catalog and upload a .csv file. Your CSV must use the following headers exactly:

sku,product_name,gtin,category,description
ACT-001,Summit Shell Jacket,01234567890128,Outerwear,Lightweight waterproof shell jacket
ACT-002,Trail Running Tee,01234567890135,Activewear,Recycled polyester performance tee

GTINs must be valid GS1 codes. Invalid GTINs will cause the row to be skipped with an error report. Download the error log after import to see which rows failed.

2. Product States

Every product moves through three lifecycle states:

State	Visibility	Description
Draft	Internal only	Compliance data can be edited freely. The QR code is inactive — scanning shows a “Coming Soon” preview.
Published	Public	The passport is live. Anyone scanning the QR code or visiting the public link can view compliance disclosures.
Archived	Internal only	Hidden from active lists but preserved in your compliance archive for audit purposes. Archived passports remain accessible via their original QR link.

To change a product’s status, open the product page and use the Status dropdown in the top-right corner.

3. Product Details Page

Clicking any product opens its workspace, organised into tabs:

Tab	Contents
Overview	Name, SKU, GTIN, category, description, and passport completeness score
Compliance	Material composition, PFAS status, certifications, and lab reports
Supply Chain	Supplier facility nodes and interactive map
QR Code	Generate and export QR codes for this specific product
Scan Analytics	View how often and where this product’s passport has been scanned

4. Passport Completeness Score

Each product displays a Completeness Score (0–100%) calculated from the following data points:

Material composition filled and totals 100% ✓
PFAS status declared ✓
At least one certification attached ✓
At least one supply chain node added ✓
Consumer description provided ✓

A higher score means a more trustworthy, regulation-ready passport. We recommend reaching at least 80% before publishing.

5. Care Instructions

Passr lets you attach consumer-facing care and end-of-life instructions to each product. These appear in a dedicated section of the public passport page:

Washing instructions (machine wash, hand wash, dry clean only)
Drying instructions (tumble dry, flat dry, hang dry)
Material care notes
End-of-life guidance (recyclable, take-back programme, donation)

Navigate to Product Overview → Care & End-of-Life to add or edit these fields.
